...I'm guessing Option A, right?
Here's the thing: Both of those sentences contain the exact same information.
Mars = the warrior, the fighter, the protector
Sun = the leader, the one who shines, the public figure
Cancer = an orientation toward nurturing, empathy, and care for those who need it most
10th house = the boardroom, the public stage, the place where we do our work in the world

But one of these makes sense immediately. The other sounds like a riddle you need a decoder ring to solve.
This is the difference between learning astrology through lists and keywords vs. learning it through story and character.
When you substitute keyword for keyword — learning that "Mars in Cancer in the 10th house” = warrior + empathy + career (what I call MadLibs astrology) — you might remember it for the quiz, and it can get you pretty far. But you won't feel it. You won't see it. You won't recognize it when you meet someone with that placement, or when you notice it operating in yourself.
But when you learn to imagine Mars as Wonder Woman — fierce, protective, unwavering in her mission — and the Sun as Beyoncé — radiant, powerful, commanding attention — and Cancer as the agenda that says "we're here to take care of people and make empathy mainstream"... suddenly astrology becomes alive.

THE DETAILS
Each week there is one 90-minute live class where we dive deep into the astrological archetypes — planets, signs, houses, aspects — through the lens of storytelling and character development. You'll learn what each archetype means and how to experience it from the inside out. Every other week, we’ll also have a 90-minute live Office Hour/Workshopping Session — these will be more spacious with time for Q&A, going through specific chart examples and applications to your lived experience, sharing and receiving feedback on your homework prompts/assignments, and interactive conversation.
This is the first time I'm offering an astrology course in this format, weaving together three powerful frameworks:
Astrology as a sophisticated map of the psyche
Storytelling as the way humans actually learn and integrate wisdom
Inner character work (inspired by the Inside Out films (and, on a more sophisticated level, IFS/parts work)) as a way to relate to the multiplicity within us
I have carefully designed the course structure to balance teaching with practice, information with application, and individual work with community support.

90-Minute Live Classes (recorded if you can't attend live) - Each Thursday evening (ET), we meet for teaching, examples, and exploration of that week's material.
Downloadable Slides & Resources - Every class comes with slides you can reference later, plus printable guides and frameworks.
Weekly Storytelling Prompts & Reflection Assignments - This is where the magic happens! You'll write short pieces and complete exercises (writing experience not required) from the perspectives of your inner planetary characters, developing relationship with them through creative practice.
Bi-Weekly Office Hours & Workshopping (90 minutes, optional but valuable) - Every other week, you’ll also have the opportunity to join me for Q&A, chart examples, and workshopping. Bring your questions, your confusion, your "wait, how does this apply to me?" moments. This is where we’ll troubleshoot together and go deeper.
Private Discussion Forum (private Facebook group) - Optional space to share insights, ask questions between sessions, and connect with other students if you choose.

Week 1: Foundations
Introduction to Intuitive Astrology and its core principles. Why astrology and why storytelling? We'll explore the Inside Out metaphor and the key elements of storytelling (character, plot, setting, perspective). We’ll also ground and center in the main objectives of this course, namely, to come into deeper relationship with the different astrological parts of ourselves.

Week 2: The Framework
We'll start by exploring the foundational framework of the course: Planet/Sign/House as Character/Style/Setting. Aspects as relationships between characters. Transits as plot development. Week 2 sets the stage for how we'll develop our astrological characters and tell their stories in the weeks to come.

Week 3: The Planets as Characters
Meet the archetypal characters living inside you: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and the outer planets. Learn to associate them with specific characters and archetypal figures so you can begin to hear their distinct voices, desires, and energies.

Week 4: The Houses as Settings
Where do your characters show up in your life? In week 4 we'll learn about the 12 houses as the archetypal stages and domains of life where your inner characters express themselves and do their work.

Week 5: The Signs as Drive/Intent
How does each character express themselves, and what tools and shadows are they working with? We'll explore the 12 zodiac signs as the unique motivations, style, resources, and challenges that shape how your planetary placements operate.

Week 6: Examples & Putting Together A 'Bit'
Time to start putting together an 'astrological bit'! We'll look at specific placements from your chart — a planet in a sign in a house — and do some deeper character work to understand who they are, how they see the world, what they're most passionate about, and more.

How do your planets/inner characters relate to each other? We'll dive into conjunctions, squares, trines, oppositions, and sextiles as the different archetypal, relational forces that shape the conversations, tensions, and collaborations happening inside you.

How to track your story as it unfolds over time. In week 8, you'll learn how to look up current transits and their dates, we'll explore the importance of the AC/DC and MC/IC axes in a chart, and you'll begin to recognize the plot development themes in your life through an astrological lens.

Pulling it all together. Learn to spot the major themes and patterns in a chart — the recurring stories, the central conflicts, the core gifts asking to be expressed.

Who I Am
My name is Chelsea Jewel, and I've been studying and practicing astrology professionally for the past 6 years. I didn't get into astrology because I wanted to impress people at parties or predict the future (ok, maybe I did want that a little bit) — I came to it because I needed a framework for understanding myself that went deeper than psychology, self-help, or meditation could offer alone. Astrology helped me see my gifts, my shadows, my patterns, my blind spots, and more, without the shame and without the need to ‘fix’ valid parts of myself. I found that once I could see and understand these parts of myself more clearly, I could stop letting them run me unconsciously and start working with them intentionally.
As an intense Scorpio rising with a deep need to see myself and the world in our full, messy, naked honesty, astrology became the tool that helped me make the unconscious conscious. It gave me a validating framework for making sense of my inner world and life experiences — and from there, for making more intentional choices about how to work with it all. If life is the canvas I'm painting on, astrology is my palette — helping me separate out the distinct colors so I can understand my blue from my red and decide which paints to use when.
This is why I teach the way I do.
The foundation of this course isn't actually astrology — it's self-knowledge, self-responsibility, and self-love. Astrology is the framework, the language, and the map, but what we're really doing here is integration work.
I believe that one of the most important things we can do — for ourselves and for the world — is get to know and take responsibility for all the different parts of ourselves. When we're integrated, when we've formed a relationship with our inner world rather than splitting off from it or projecting it outward, we create safety — for ourselves, and for the people and beings around us. And in an increasingly chaotic world, I believe that kind of inner coherence matters deeply. We may not be able to control or repair all the imbalances and dysfunctions of the external ecosystem around us, but when we operate from a foundation of internal security and integration, we create a new template that has the potential to ripple outward.
This course is designed to help you do that work — not through fixing or perfecting yourself, but through meeting yourself. Through recognizing your inner characters, hearing their voices, understanding their motivations, and learning to relate to them with curiosity and care instead of judgment.
I've taught dozens of astrology classes and workshops over the years, but this one feels uniquely special and close to my heart, because Cosmic Storytellers weaves together everything I've learned about how humans actually integrate wisdom: through story, through embodied and applied practice, and through compassion instead of analysis. It's an astrology course, yes — but more importantly, it's a container for deeper self-work.

Yes, you could break down the math — my 1:1 rate is $220/hour, so you're getting 25+ hours of live teaching and support at roughly $31-43/hour depending on your tier. But here's what really matters: this is transformational work, not just informational work. You're not just learning what Saturn means — you're learning to recognize Saturn in you, as a character whose voice shapes how you approach responsibility, fear, and growth (and so on, with the other planets and archetypes). That kind of inner work changes the way you see and relate to yourself, which ends up rippling outward to change: your relationships with others, how you make decisions, how you engage with long-held patterns, how you embrace or resist growth, and more. I believe that’s worth investing in, and so I price this course in a way that honors the depth of what we're doing together and allows me to hold the container well. Nope! This course is truly beginner-friendly. I'll teach you everything you need to know, starting from the ground up.

Not at all. The storytelling practices in this course aren't about being a "good writer"; they're about using story as a relational tool to get to know yourself. It's way more about curiosity than craft. Plus, you won’t be required to share any of your ‘homework’ assignments with anyone else unless you want to!

Every class is recorded and you'll have lifetime access to all recordings. The bi-weekly office hours are also recorded. You can absolutely take this course asynchronously if needed. Plus, as an extra bonus to support asynchronous (and busy) learners, I’ll be offering 3 extra post-course Office Hour calls in July, August, and September 2026.

The weekly assignments are designed to deepen your learning, but I'm not going to check your homework or grade you. This is YOUR learning journey, so you’re encouraged to take what serves you and leave what doesn't. The homework prompts will also be available to you after you finish the course, in case you don’t have time for them while the live course is running but want to more deeply integrate later on.
